Wanderer Wines is owned by Cape Wine Master, Catherine Dillon who has been involved in tourism for the past twenty four years. Catherine is committed to ensuring that SA wine is understood, appreciated and enjoyed by locals and tourists alike. Her love of people, wine and her country has ensured that wine tours offered are insightful and enjoyable.
Catherine has lectured for the Cape Wine Academy for the past 20 years and tutors students for exam purposes, up to and including Cape Wine Master level. Catherine is actively involved in judging wine competitions including the Veritas Awards, SA’s longest running and most prestigious wine competition .
Catherine offers bespoke private tours with personal attention to client needs and interests. Tours include vineyard walks ( 1km to 10km trails), private tastings of older vintages of South African wines, winemaker inter-actions, including barrel tastings. Wine purchases and shipment assistance is part of the personal assistance offered.
