With one week behind us, fans continue to descend on Cape Town and can we be so surprised by this? The various fans I have met and registered entering Cape Town are overwhelmed by how beautiful our city is. One gentleman informed me that he was surprised to learn that we have internet in our country!
The reality is that South Africa is still an unknown entity among hundreds of people, however, the wonderful game of football is doing much to change our international image. I am fortunate to work in tourism that affords me wonderful experiences and opportunities. It has been especially rewarding meeting fellow South Africans at the Fan Park, airport and the games thus far.
