What's in the bottle...

There is no mistaking the fact that Sauvignon Blanc is the wine of the moment. However, it is also noticeable how much has been said and written about additives in wine and particularly Sauvignon Blanc as a grape variety. I cannot begin to think about the damage that might be caused to the SA Wine Industry if additives were to be found in our wines!

Steenberg Sauvignon Blanc Reserve 2003
The fact that this wine sold out last year is no surprise. Awarded a 5* in the 2004 Platter.
An absolute stunner, it does come at a price! We do have a few bottles left should you feel the need to spend some of your hard earned cash!

Brampton Sauvignon Banc 2003
It broke my heart seeing the screw-cap on this bottle. But, my friend yelled “Get over it!” and this I did! A beautifully made wine, oozing with summer fruit. Can still taste the passionfruit, lingering and tempting me to more.
Available from most bottle stores and produced by Rustenburg.

Backsberg Camp Chardonnay / Camp Cabernet Sauvignon
Produced and bottled by Backsberg, these two concept wines have been launched by Chris van der Spuy of Tables Restaurant. As the label suggests: “extraordinary, glamorous, extravagant and delightful”.
