Festive Season Edition

Touring with Cath...
What's in the bottle...

I love finding well-priced, good drinking wines and one of my many favourites has to be the Kanu Unwooded Chenin Blanc. It sells for R28.00 per bottle direct from the estate and is simply delicious. An excellent lunchtime wine.

Another fave is the Beyerskloof Pinotage, which by now everyone knows and loves. I have found this wine goes marvelously well with a traditional Indian curry, thereby reinforcing the rule that there are no rules when it comes to matching food and wine!

A good friend of mine recently introduced me to the Lourensford Winery wines. The Sauvignon Blanc is excellent and sells for R32 from the estate.

During the holiday season I tend to get naughty and cannot help but drink Cap Classique (remember we cannot say Champagne!) morning, noon and night. I absolutely adore the Graham Beck Brut and hope you do too.

There are always two things I tell my guests which I believe to be true:

"You get what you pay for"
and
"Life’s too short to drink bad wine!"

Until the next edition, Vivamus!

Cheers
